 Dental professionals uses braces or Invisalign in straightening the teeth of their patients.Teeth straightening is done to give them an ideal position, improve their look, and promote proper function. Invisalign utilizes a set of clear plastic trays as a means of achieving the position. While braces,  usually make use of metal wires with an aim of getting the most ideal movement or position for the teeth.

Pros of Invisalign-


1• Comfort: Invisalign is much more physically comfortable to wear. you don’t have to worry about getting any painful nicks or cuts in your mouth because  there are no wires or brackets.They are smooth and won’t irritate your mouth. 

2.More Attractive: Since Invisalign is clear, it doesn’t leave you with a mouth full of metal. In other words, they are more attractive to the eye, and most people won’t even know you are wearing them. 
3.Convenience: Invisalign has become a norm for straightening the teeth, which means that you don’t necessarily have to deal with metal braces. 
4• Can be Removed: Invisalign aligners can be removed for eating, brushing your teeth and flossing. That is something that cannot be done with braces. 

5.Minimal Maintenance: Invisalign aligners require minimal maintenance. They can get dingy over time when you wear them, but you can freshen them by using a toothbrush dipped in a small amount of bleach and water. 


Cons of Invisalign-


1.Expensive     

Invisalign is a very expensive procedure. 


2.Required to Wear Them 22 Hours Per Day: Invisalign must be worn a minimum of 22 hours per day. 

3.Tooth Discomfort: Getting new Invisalign aligner trays can be uncomfortable and even painful when you get fitted for a new set.

4.Attachments: More and more attachments to go along with Invisalign have become the norm.

A set of clear, computer-generated trays is ideally worn 24 hours a day with change-outs every 15 day.There are certain trays that can last for six months to one year.  Biggest advantages is that the trays are relatively invisible. Hence the name Invisalign.It does not affect your speech so wearing Invisalign provide comfort.
